Performances: Form and Function

Faces, the landmarks to the soul. One of my most enriching experiences have been the one of creating theatrical masks for Performing Arts. Spent 6 years with Maskhunt, Inc. A theater company with the roots following the philosophy of Bread and Puppet. Great times which provided me with the skill of giving life to a character by means of a mask. The sky is the limit...

...AND I WILL TAKE IT FROM HERE!

All of these are created with clay, plaster, paper and many other materials.

Let's keep our journey...

One of the aspects of this Art business that I value the most is the contacts you make. Not only business or monetary-wise, but to the level of: PEOPLE. I have to be really grateful for the great, beautiful, wonderful and wise I have found on my way. Here's some examples of work produced for theater or performances:
I have to say that ALL of these people I have met and worked have become not only my good friends, but my mentors, guardians and even: Angels.

Making a Path throughout Arts

"...Caminante, no hay camino, se hace camino al andar..." that phrase comes from a song I heard when I was younger. It just says that; we should not expect our way to be already done for you. You create it yourself. That is the case with Arts, or any other venue that carries a creative process within. This blog will serve as a way to express my process.

One of my all time favorite themes is Science Fiction. Here's some characters from a story created by yours truly.

These insect-humanoids are the protagonists of a story called: AFTER_PATH (instead of aftermath) but it means the same. The story uses the "perfect societies" that insects form and how it applies to us humans.
